Bougainvillea

None of you has missed the cliche of the "island girl" with the bougainvillea in the hair. The flower has become a symbol of tropical islands.

The Bougainvillea is the ultimate tropical plant. It is easy to cultivate and blooms generously in summer and is evergreen in winter. A land regularly showered with rainfall is enough to keep your bougainvillea happy. No additional watering is required.

The bougainvillea comes in various colors namely purple, dark pink, yellow, white and orange.

When different colors of the flower are planted together they tend to hybrid and produce a unique plant having many color hues present in each petal of each flower. This gives a unique effect and is a sure way to impress your gardening pals.

Have a happy gardening!

Knowing your land

Taking care of a garden can be very easy if you know the needs and requirements of your land. The climate of the place where you live is a factor to be considered and you have to choose plants per season.

My garden being a tropical one, needs much water and sometimes shade for certain plants.

Gardening tools are sometimes helpful but they are not essential. You will basically just need a rake, spade and big fork.

This was my first post. I will be writing back for updates. I will have to set other things with this blog. Take care all.
